Abstract

|
A Triterpenoidal glycosides were isolated from n-BuOH fraction of leaves of Kalopanax pictum NAKAI var. magnificum NAKAI(Araliacease), whose stem bark(Kalopanacis Cortex) has been used as a fold medicine.
The sttucture of this compound was elucidated as hederagenin pentaglycoside(kizuta saponin K_12) on the basis of physico-chemical and spectral data.
And identifigation of hederagenin di, tri, tetra, penta, hexa and hepta glycosides in n-BuOH fraction was carried out successfully by comparing with authentic standards form HPLC.
